Hi, I’m Kristy, I have been working on and off in the fashion industry for over 20 years. In that time, the fast fashion industry has really, really grown, and while I have taken a step back in recent years for family, I admit that from the beginning the waste and pollution of the industry has never quite sat right with me.  I am relaunching and coming back with all I can offer in a much more conscious and low impact way. What I do is not fast fashion.

Having my children and a lot of time to reflect, the world we live in is the only one we have, and we need to do better.  The fashion industry is one of the worst polluters in the world, and this isn’t just because of the millions of tonnes of fashion waste, but the processes of making the fabric, making a garment, the people working in the factories, the whole industry needs to change. We need to do better and while I can’t change the whole industry over night, I can do my part.

So, here I am, doing what I can with what I have, what I know and what I’ve got. This is a slow fashion label, everything is designed and made in Melbourne, and made in limited runs or one-offs. I complete the whole process in house, from the initial designs, the patterns, the samples and the final product. I use recycled, vintage, upcycled and deadstock fabrics, I use organic natural fibres wherever and whenever I can.  If it doesn’t sell, I’m not sitting on the stock as I make the garments when it is ordered, with just a 2 week turn around.  This also means I can use fabrics for other styles in the future.  All my scraps are used for other little projects and art I make (sometimes my kids art). Nothing goes to waste.

My style while always evolving, is timeless, romantic, a little vintage inspired, effortless, I want to create those timeless pieces that can be handed down to our children and grandchildren (some of my favourite wardrobe pieces are ones my Nan gave me). I want my clothes to stand the test of time and be a staple and stylish addition in your wardrobe. Embracing imperfection, individuality and confidence to wear what makes you happy.
